We have all heard that we should try to be present as much as possible, but what does
that really mean? Are we able to stay present or are we continually swept up by the
emotions and thoughts of what happened in the past or agonizing on what we need to
do in the future?
This may happen a lot more often than we realize. Sometimes to be present can be difficult if we are not ready to confront our immediate reality and avoid the obstacles that prevent us from surpassing our limitations. But when we are in the present moment, we have the power to face and eventually overcome the obstacles. To be present allow us to live life with mindfulness and to have courage and strength in knowing we are making a choice in this moment with more awareness and conscious effort.
Being present takes practice, patience and an internal will and fortitude to become the
driver of our own vehicle. When we are not in the present moment, we are often just a
passenger being taken for a ride. It takes away our ability to truly enjoy each moment of
our life and prevents us from living a happier and fulfilling life.
Join Tina Wong and Jason Stile for a journey into the present moment. This is what time
travel is. We have to travel into the present if we want to be truly free.
